It’s can feel nearly impossible to properly express those precious years of personality, growth, love and hope merged between two people to a potential photographer. You should want not just the wedding day itself captured, but the entire story of you and your partner’s love to shine through in your wedding photos.

Over the last 10 years, I have established relationships with brides, couples, and families from all walks of life, and I realize that no two are the same. Each wedding is a fresh and exciting experience for me, and I feel honored to be able to utilize my knowledge and understanding of Costa Rica wedding photography to provide you with the optimal documentation of it.

What’s my style?
My approach to Costa Rica wedding photography derives from the spirit and foundation of photojournalism, with a creative focus on the authentic nature of human emotion. By pairing a detail oriented technique with the ability to never lose sight of candidness, a very natural aesthetic is the aim of each wedding shoot. There are hundreds of occurrences throughout a wedding day where individuals become “lost in the moment”, and my intention is to seize every single one of them. Those unprocessed moments of happiness, excitement and affection will be captured for you and the following generations to share.
While a candid and organic style is my hallmark, I am aware that you may also want various traditionally posed photos. From bride and groom together, to bride or groom alone, or formal photos of those in your wedding fixed alongside you, we will execute every shot you have in mind, always bringing out the natural elements within the subject(s). Another great pleasure of mine and what is quickly becoming a favorite of my clients is a funky avant-garde style of lighting, used frequently during sunsets. This is also a style I use quite often in the more fashion-forward and “trash the dress” shoots. You should have no worries in whatever it is you are imagining that you want your wedding photos to turn out as. No matter the desires, theme, or photography style you want achieved, trust that my team and I will make it happen.
I work with an amazing assistant (Caleb) who has been shooting with me for over six years. Along with always having a second shooter on set, my team focuses on equipment placement, interchanging gear and the small, yet important, details throughout the entire process. Our history and trust in one another has created a seamless foundation that allows me to be able to fully concentrate on shooting and making your photo dreams become a reality.
What material do I use?
I’m using only the highest-end digital equipment in my wedding shoots. I shoot with the most modern Nikon materials, always with back up bodies and flashes. I am
Nikon full frame, constant aperture lens, and pocket wizard adept
The memory cards I utilize are regularly backed up throughout the entire wedding day and stored in a secure vessel until they can be loaded onto my studio hard drive.
To create a striking and increasingly dramatic effect, I use mounted, off camera flash. This establishes studio quality light, allowing me the freedom of creativity to consistently make you, your loved ones and your surroundings look its most optimal.
